Camping can be very relaxing. Being away from civilization for a little while can be beneficial for both the body and soul. Not enough people get out and enjoy the outdoors, and they really need to.
If you take a step outside and examine the nature around you, you’ll see what I mean. There’s a lot of beauty in it, and it’s very relaxing. Whether you’re watching a bubbling brook or some rabbits hop around in the field, I find it all very soothing.
So when I camp, I spend most of my time outside of the tent. I like being in the middle of it all. But when it’s nearing bedtime, I prefer being in a tent. I can close my eyes and still hear the sounds of nature around me. And just before bed, I like reading a book with the light of my LED tent light.
The last time I went camping, I actually got through the entire Chronicles in Narnia series. I hadn’t read those books in so long! And reading them right before bed makes me have dreams of fantastical creatures and gallant swordsmen. It’s all thanks to my LED tent light. With it, I can read anything, even if it’s dark.
I’ll Try Fishing with Some Soft Plastic Lures
I’m really lucky to know some folks that live on a very large lake. The fish there often, so whenever I come by, I always try my hand at it too. But more often than not, I don’t catch much. I think they just have a knack for it. Or maybe it’s the lures they use? The lures they use are very specific, so perhaps they help get fish on their lines more than mine?
Well next time, I think I’ll use some of the same soft plastic lures my friends do. I’ve heard from some people at work that they tend to work better than other lures, probably because of how bright and lifelike they are to fish in the water. It’s just something fish tend to notice and fall for, since they seem so real.
So maybe this weekend I’ll visit those folks and go fishing with them again. It’s supposed to be nice this weekend, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the fish were biting. But of course, I’d first ask if I could borrow some of their soft plastic lures to fish with. That way, I can be on their level when it comes to landing some fish.
